This angel is also known as Cassiel, The Angel of Temperance, Tears and, "God is My Wrath". In scripture and in ancient texts, Cassiel is portrayed as Male not Female as in this card deck but the card's meaning remains the same. He is connected to the planet Saturn and rules the 7th day of the week, Saturday. He stands guard at the gate waiting for God's command. God's command to do what? He is God's counterpart when it comes to serving justice. *Challenge: The Tower Card again is no stranger to Tarot. This card can mean, literally, what you see on the front of the card as a bolt of lightning comes out of nowhere (unexpected) and strikes the tower resulting in people falling to their death. The tower represents many things, structures (governments, belief systems, organizations) that have outlived their usefulness. Another meaning is it is The Tower of Babel which represents man's hubris and God's Wrath (see Situation Card, "Temperance"). *Resources/Guidance: Our awareness of what is inhibiting our journey is increasing as we stumble toward the light. The Moon is a reminder to us of what continues to stand in our way of understanding and interfering with us moving foward on or earth paths: Shadows and clouds that obscure the light, Fear and uncertainty, illusion, trickery, psychosis and deception. *Hidden: Rebirth: The Fool is Humanity on a new path. The old one is passing away (see The Tower Card) and we are embarking on a new one. *Outcome: The Hermit stands before us steadfastly holding up his light with a clear message: "Have No Fear For I Am the Light of the World, Follow Me." *Summary Card #1: XIX The Sun: We are emerging out of the dark night of the soul. This card stands for success, joy, happiness and enlightenment as we throw off the chains of bondange and our imprisonment that has been poisoning our minds, bodies and spirits as we emerge triumphant into the light. *Summary Card #2: XII The Hanged Man. Our sacrifices are no more; the world has lost in its attempts to blindfold and suppress us. We win they lose. We have suffered long enough.
