Inseparable

A La Natural
One big problem I see and believe it would make a big difference in how we relate to and treat one another on this planet is getting back to nature.

How many of you are stuck in a high rise or an apartment building or live in the inner city?  How many of you are able to get out to take a walk, enjoy fresh air, feel the grass, touch a tree, watch a butterfly or smell a flower?

There is so much that is wonderful yet hidden going on all around us yet we've been denied the opportunity of experiencing it.

All of us are a part of nature as well as nature being a part of us.

We are inseparable from one another.

We no longer live off the land, hunt for food or sleep under the stars.  Instead, today, we are isolated from one another and nature living in and amongst man made concrete and asphalt, linoleum, faux brick and plastic.

We've deprived ourselves of our ability and opportunity to enjoy natural things (nature) and sample what nature has to offer us because of where we live.

But, if you were able to do so, you would soon feel something magical happen.  A subtle and gentle transformation of your spirit as you stand among a dense pine grove or watch a gorgeous sunset or  smell a lovely flower.

You would start to feel differently as you begin to realize that you and everything you see and touch are not separate or isolated from you but are inseparably entwined.
The Ancients were up close and personal with nature as they had to deal with it every day.  Their whole lives revolved around surviving and learning how to live within nature's confines, heed its warnings and learning respect and trust.

They lived in nature, they lived with nature, but, more importantly, they learned from nature.  Nature was their Teacher.

This hasn't changed.  Nature is still our Teacher.  We just need to open up opportunities so we can learn how to connect with it again.

Be A Light in the Darkness

What advice would you give to your kids about life?

Would you tell them how important prayer is?

Would you tell them to believe in themselves?
have courage over fear?
do their duty?
honor and respect others?
develop responsibility and fortitude?
learn to trust?
search for the truth in all things?

What about learning to love, unconditionally?

Would you tell them that they are here for a purpose?

Would you tell them we humans share this planet with a myriad of other life forms?

What about compassion for others?

Would you encourage them to be the very best they can be?

Would you tell them to learn their strengths and weaknesses?

How to be calm in the midst of chaos?

Tell them to lift people up, not let them down?

How about telling them not to be afraid of failing because that's where we learn some important lessons?

How about lighting a candle in the dark so that others can find their way?

Would you tell them that we are not alone in the universe?

How about teaching them to approach life in an expectant way, not a defensive way (always waiting for something to go wrong) but anticipating miracles and being able to find solutions and answers?

How about being an inspiration to others?

The Gold Coin

Several years ago I had an experience that is permanently ingrained in me.

It was early in the morning.  I was angry about something and in a depressed mood and took a bottle of wine upstairs to relax in my recliner.  It wasn't long before I was soundly asleep.  The time was around 2:00 a.m.

I don't know what it was that woke me up.  But I found myself sitting forward in my recliner and staring down the hallway.

It was just then an angel appeared but she appeared in back of me even though I was looking ahead.

There was no sound.  She towered over me and I'd say she was about 6 - 7 feet tall.  She was cream color from head to toe, her garment, skin, wings and hair.  Her hair was cropped short and softly curled.  Her wings were folded down by her sides.

I detected no emotion from her as she stood quietly behind me.

No audible words were exchanged but I would soon learn that she would communicate telepathically with me.  It was like I could hear what she was saying in my head even though no spoken words were used.

This is method of communication is known as Telepathy and defined as the "transmission of information from one person to another and not using any known sensory channels or physical interaction".

As I continued to watch, she slowly removed one arm from under her garment and put it out in front of her.  Her fist was closed and she slowly opened it, revealing a gold coin.    The coin was bigger than a half dollar.

It had markings on it, like hieroglyphic symbols around the edges and some type of writing in the center but I could not make out what they were.

Then, she took the coin, turned it over in her hand and then placed it into her other hand.

There was no explanation as to what this was all about.

Then she started to fade away.  Just like in the movies.  I could see through her as she slowly disappeared.  My pleadings of wanting her to stay did nothing to stop her from leaving.

This experience was one of the most profound, the most comforting, the most peaceful, the most loving encounter I have ever had.

I believe she was sending a message but what is the message if you can't make it out?

Anyway, thanks for visiting and I'd welcome your thoughts.

Added note:  Now, if the angel had had a leaf in her hand it would've made more sense.  LOL

Update:  8/1/19 After many years of contemplation and wondering what this visitation was all about, I think I finally received my answer.  The angel was holding a gold coin in her hand.  There are such coins minted by the French 100s of years ago known as Angel Coins.  I thought, maybe this is what she meant that I should give these coins to people in need.  Makes sense so this is what I did and ordered my first batch from amazon.

Forward, Into the Unknown

You are the captain of your own ship
I am experiencing an energy around me right now which makes me feel like I'm on a ship under full sail, pushing steadily through the water.  I find myself on the upper deck looking toward my destination.  The waves are breaking away from my bow as I steadily push forward.

As I am writing this, I can actually feel a subtle push as if I'm being propelled ahead.  Not in any tumultuous or dangerous way but a subtle gentleness beckoning me onward.  This energy makes me feel like there is nothing to fear because I'm in a warm and loving embrace.

Such is life, don't you think?  We can't go back but are constantly moving into our own future from one experience to another.

The message coming through is clear:  "Have no fear for you are the captain of your own ship."

I hope this message resonates with someone, today.

July 4, 2019 - America's Independence Day

Ole Glory ~ The Flag that Represents Freedom

Just a little over two-hundred and forty three years ago, British colonialists (soon to be Americans) who had fled Great Britain found themselves under the tyrannical boot of King George III.

After the Seven Year War in which most of Europe was engaged in fighting for property and naval hegemony on the high seas, the war came to an end.  It lasted from 1756 to 1763 and involved every European great power and spanned five continents.

Great Britain now found itself in enormous debt and needed money to pay it off.  British "subjects",   now living in the thirteen colonies in North America soon would feel the long arm of King George as he painted a target on their backs and marked them for heavy taxes in order to pay his war debt.

At first there was much consternation and vigorous debate among the colonists as to whether the King had the "right" to tax them.  These were fledgling colonies but it didn't matter to the King as  things proceeded from bad to worse and, finally, open rebellion on Griffin's Wharf  in Boston on December 16, 1773 as the colonists boarded the American ship, The Dartmouth" and proceeded to throw the King's tea overboard.

Up to and during this time and until the American Revolution, the colonists were subjected to kidnappings, murder, hanging, assault and ridicule by their British counterparts, not only soldiers and  many of whom were active in parliament, business owners, tavern keepers, etc.

Soon the heavy sentiment weighing heavily on the colonists turned into open warfare as they slowly tired of being bayonetted, kidnapped, hung or tortured.

Clandestine meetings were held and whispered talk of "Independence" was heard but always being careful as too many other ears were listening.

Soon this rag tag bunch of colonists, from all walks of life, united in solidarity.

They had had enough.

This is why we celebrate Independence Day here in America.  Because our country was founded on the struggle to attain it.  And all because a small group of people became fed up with a tyrannical king who kept treating them as chattel.   https://www.thefreedictionary.com/chattel

All throughout history there have been bands of men and women who have struggled to set themselves free from oppression.

But the United States of America is and always will be the greatest shining example of what happens when people finally take control of their own lives.

Nobody, no one, no government, no organization, no politician, no media outlet, newspaper, Google or Facebook or Twitter, no corporation, no institution has the right to deny anyone their G-d given right of living their lives as free men and women.

Tomorrow, enjoy the freedom won for you by those brave Americans who dared take a stand for it.  For, without their sacrifices, along with those still being made by our military, you and I would not be here.

Bow your head and say a prayer that G-d Almighty will continue to provide the leadership this country needs and that His Protective Might remain over the current President, his family, administration and this great land we call home.

Amen.
