Inseparable

A La Natural
One big problem I see and believe it would make a big difference in how we relate to and treat one another on this planet is getting back to nature.

How many of you are stuck in a high rise or an apartment building or live in the inner city?  How many of you are able to get out to take a walk, enjoy fresh air, feel the grass, touch a tree, watch a butterfly or smell a flower?

There is so much that is wonderful yet hidden going on all around us yet we've been denied the opportunity of experiencing it.

All of us are a part of nature as well as nature being a part of us.

We are inseparable from one another.

We no longer live off the land, hunt for food or sleep under the stars.  Instead, today, we are isolated from one another and nature living in and amongst man made concrete and asphalt, linoleum, faux brick and plastic.

We've deprived ourselves of our ability and opportunity to enjoy natural things (nature) and sample what nature has to offer us because of where we live.

But, if you were able to do so, you would soon feel something magical happen.  A subtle and gentle transformation of your spirit as you stand among a dense pine grove or watch a gorgeous sunset or  smell a lovely flower.

You would start to feel differently as you begin to realize that you and everything you see and touch are not separate or isolated from you but are inseparably entwined.
The Ancients were up close and personal with nature as they had to deal with it every day.  Their whole lives revolved around surviving and learning how to live within nature's confines, heed its warnings and learning respect and trust.

They lived in nature, they lived with nature, but, more importantly, they learned from nature.  Nature was their Teacher.

This hasn't changed.  Nature is still our Teacher.  We just need to open up opportunities so we can learn how to connect with it again.
