*****

Meditation:

Watching from a hilltop and looking down across a valley stretching for hundreds of miles with a dark mountain range in the background.

The sky was roiling with clouds forming.

Unexpectedly a brilliant bolt of lightning ripped through the clouds.

*****

Spiritual meaning of a bolt of lightning:  Power and energy; Divine Presence and Intervention; Illumination and Inspiration

1.  SITUATION (Sweetgrass Braid):

Represents Receptivity (the practice of giving and receiving) teaching us how to walk in balance.

You have given generously of yourself, going the extra mile numerous times in order to help others.

It is now time to sit back and embrace the spiritual rewards you've earned that are starting to pour in as a well-deserved thank you for all the work you've done.

2.  CHALLENGE (Anishinaabe):

Represents the Good Being, Worth.

We arrive here, on this planet as newbies.  As we get older, we are indoctrinated into systems - religion, education, etc., taught how to behave and what to believe and if we don't "toe the line", are disciplined if we dare ask questions or show any rebellion.

There is merit in these things we are taught but not to point where fear is instilled in us, stopping you from growing into your true self.

You are a spiritual being imbued with Divine worth and it's time to acknowledge this truth.

Walk with courage and the knowledge you are being divinely guided.

~ Your innate goodness comes from your inner Being, not Doing ~

3.  GUIDANCE (Winged One):

Represents Trust.

You are a small fledging just learning how to fly.

You're all alone on a tree branch wondering how you got there.

You got there because you walked out on it.

Now is the time to stop dwelling on what you can't do and focus on what you Can.

Ruffle your feathers and aim yourself in the direction you want to go.

Stand tall, aligning yourself with the wind that will gently ease you off the branch.

Take a deep breath, ruffle your feathers and see what happens next.

You're flying!

Now you're surprised you were able to pull this off.

Why?

You've always had this ability just that a part of you was always getting in the way.

Pretty soon you will be soaring like an eagle.

4.  HIDDEN (Plant Kin):

Represents Sensitivity.

Humans are connected to all life on this planet.

This card represents your sensitive soul and its spiritual connection to the plant family.

Sometimes it is very difficult to move forward in life because of our vulnerability as sensitive souls because we can see, hear and communicate with those things others cannot.

This card is here so you remember your true purpose - reminding the world that vulnerability is strength and sensitivity is medicine.

5.  OUTCOME (Dark Spirit Moon):

Represents Void.

All Life was created from the Dark.

Remember, as much as this hurts, we all grow more deeply in times of chaos and discomfort.

The dark has a medicine all its own.

When we experience the dark our first reaction is one of fear and wanting to escape.

Try to see the dark in a different and more positive way as a dark womb where we can heal and healing takes time.

Sometimes longer than we wanted because of the depth of trauma we've experienced.

The dark is here to expose the light within us.

It is only when we come to grips with things and allow ourselves to move on, will we begin to experience the light.

The darkness is as necessary as the light.

Think of it as a "womb of healing".

You cannot see the stars during the day but only at night, against a dark background.

You can't see the moon during the day but only at night.

Each one of us has a light hidden within and it is only activated after we successfully move up and out of this void (acknowledge and overcome) and into the light.

6.  CLARIFICATION Card (Reclamation):

Represents Home.

This is what our human journey is all about - finding Home.

We were there (Home) once in spirit, maybe more than once and are now, again having to find our way back to it again.

This card is all about mending, healing, finding the broken parts of you and bringing them all together.

Separation and disconnection are the result of the flawed systems in our society.

We all want to feel like we belong to something, but life can and often has other plans for us, shattering our hopes and dreams.

We then feel separated and alone, isolated from those key parts that kept us together.

Today it is time to find your roots.

What feels like home to you?

Understand that this longing has truth in it.

That what you are feeling is (connection) spirit from a long-lost family, tribe, community, country, or people.

Stop hesitating and know that now you're on the right path.

It is Time to take the first step and reclaim your long, lost heritage.

Many Blessings to You,
