A Rite of Passage

Yesterday, July 20, 2014, was a very difficult day for me.  I was in flux and a combination of these emotions:  Spiteful; short-tempered; betwixt and between; curt and impatient; nervously sitting down one moment and getting up the next; rude.  Wanting only for the day to end--the emotions I was experiencing were that painful.  I was uneasy, anxious, like something big was about to blow!  Something was messin with me and it wasn't a Sasquatch!  Something was probing my psyche and it was making me extremely uncomfortable.  But why?  I believe that yesterday I experienced a "mini earthquake" in my soul.  Did all these emotional barbs that were striking me have anything to do with the planet Saturn going Direct, that Saturn was dredging up and exposing that part of me that is always a part of me, and you too.  Showing me portions of myself that needed to be addressed, curtailed and possibly curbed?  I'm no astrologer but believe as many do that the planets transitioning through the Zodiac cast their influence over us.  What does Saturn stand for, anyway?    And how long does it take for this planet to transition through all the signs in the Zodiac?  Well, I'll tell you - 29.5 years.

Where were you 29.5 years ago?

To some Saturn is known as The Planet of Dread because Saturn takes you to task for being a wise ass, a know-it-all and a procrastinator.  We really don't want to confront our past misdeeds or our penchant for ignoring our past mistakes or our weaknesses.  Yet Saturn doesn't care as he is on a mission.  Saturn is our "Wake Up Call" and asks us to "take stock" of where we are now and what we need to do in order to get to where we want to be (need to be).

Saturn's sign is the sickle.  Saturn is bringing in the harvest (your harvest if you've prepared and planned properly) so to speak.  He is asking you, compelling you and downright ignoring your attempts to thwart his influence by forcing you to look at where you were, where you are now and where you want to be and how to get to there.

He is about discipline and hard work.  His sickle slices off the old stubble (the stuff that is holding you back) thus allowing you to move more easily in the direction you need to go.

---------------

Vedic Astrology:  Saturn - God of "Duty". Punishes the person who does not do his duty properly.
Saturn (Shani) tests a person every 22.5 years; the test lasts for a period of 7.5 years (Sadesati). The origin of word Shani (शनि) comes from the following: Shanaye Kramati Sa: (शनये क्रमति सः) i.e. the one who moves slowly, as Saturn takes about 30 years to revolve around the sun.

Saturn is the planet of Karma and is a masculine sign and is known as the "Taskmaster."  Saturn is all about limitations, restrictions, responsibility and structure.  He will see to it that you will do something over again if you don't do it right the first time.

In retrospect, having no clue whatsoever that I was about to experience a blind date with a planetary body and would go head to head with him in a very personal act of self-examination in which I would be probed and examined, allowed to experience a very painful myriad of emotions twisting and churning inside me, feeling my very core being whittled down to the quick, yet somehow I came to believe this was a cleansing of some sort, a 'purifying' event.  I was forced to confront parts of myself that needed to be rebuked and brought under some semblance of balance and control.  Saturn had no sympathy for how I felt about the matter and convulsed all these emotions together, forcing me to examine and experience them all at once, leaving me bruised and bloodied but emerging in the end a little lighter and a whole lot wiser.   "But Saturn, I really would not like to go through this again!"

However, I believe this extraordinary experience will somehow allow me to help others through my reading of the Tarot cards.

There is a saying that "Suffering leads to Wisdom." I felt that I had just suffered through a day without end and survived some sort of "Rite of Passage" so maybe there is some Truth to that.

Saturn is not to be feared, indeed all planets transitioning through your sign are to welcomed and embraced as "Teachers" for their  appearance allows us, compels us to come face to face with who we really are.

Saturn going Direct helps us confront those things we don't need in our lives anymore, those things that are weighing us down, those things that need to be changed, and removed, in order for us to move forward.    Thus the term "Direct."

We are on a journey to become the best that we can be.  We are here to grow.

We are spirits of the Zodiac.  All of us, no matter who we are, where we are, are always under the prism of the Zodiac.  We will be in one sign or the other.  It helps if you do a little reading and find out just exactly what that sign means for you.

Don't be afraid but embrace the knowledge these planets provide for each one of us.  .

The appearance of the Planet Saturn at the appointed times is a necessary part of the "growing up" process for each one of us.  It is up to us to heed and grow from its lessons or ignore and hobble our own spiritual growth and path.

Malaysia Airlines Flt 17

Shooting down a commercial aircraft with 298 souls on board--who would do such a thing?  This is another wanton act of mindless savagery.  I believe this latest event is going to solidify the entire world in condemnation because I believe we've had enough.  To some on this planet, human life has no meaning whatsoever.  Whether the deaths of innocents be at the hands of Islamist Terrorists or a Russian gang of para-military, the incessant beat of death continues to horrify us.  We have shallow organizations and shallow leaders who only mimic the words they think we all need to hear in order to get back to more important issues.  You know, fund raising or in the case of the UN, how to strengthen their hold over others.  Don't you think it is time to take our world back?  Who does the world belong to anyway--The Rich, the Powerful, the Elite or the many who just go about their lives wanting only peace for themselves and their families and trusting that when they board an airplane it will arrive at its destination in one piece.  I am sick at heart at what happened to these people, from all walks of life, who just perished because evil had its way, again--the lives that were just snuffed out.  It is time for those of us who have had enough to take back our world, take back our lives.  And it is time to round up those tyrants who continue to cheat the hangman's noose and truly hold them accountable.  The sanctity of life always trumps sanctions.  The Time is Upon Us......

Enslavement

wikipedia.org
Someone let the devil in
And the devil will have his due
Someone let the devil in
He's here for me and you
Somewhere along the beaten path
We succumbed to the Incubus
And sealed our own aftermath
Now we are trembling
Now we're aghast
The devil has finally summoned our Wrath
We lost our way
Blue skies turned to gray
We now find ourselves
In an enormous fray
To be sliced and diced
On his platter, splayed
Someone let the devil in
And the devil will have his due
Someone let the devil in
He's here for me and you
Good Men Everywhere

This is your wake up call
We're in free fall
No nation can withstand
A Tyrant's assault
For it will soon face a monster tumult
Someone let the devil in
And the devil will have his due
Someone let the devil in
And he's here for me and you

Along For the Ride

I found myself 'lifting' off the ground with no effort on my part whatsoever.  I was clad in a soft white nightgown and wearing black ballet slippers.  I could feel the air as it started to  envelope me, softly, gently, caressing my face, tousling my hair and ruffling my nightgown.    Yet there was no sound of anything, nothing--no sound at all.  It was like I was in a vacuum.  I continued to ascend--higher, higher, higher--I looked up into the blackness of the unfathomable inky black reservoir that now had me in its grasp and took in the myriad of brilliant stars that formed a connecting canopy over my head--billions upon billions upon billions.  Higher, higher, higher.  Over the tops of houses I floated.  Looking down I passed over gray rooftops and street lights.  I continued ascending for I do not know how long but then, all of a sudden I felt myself slowing down and starting a gentle descent.   It was apparent that I was not in control.  Why, 'I was just along for the ride'!  Down, down, down I continued to descend.  Emerging from the starlight sky I saw a long, deep green expanse of grass ahead of me and saw a man way off in the corner.  He was sitting cross-legged on a large white rock.  He had dark brown wavy hair and I instinctively knew that he could see me as well as I could see him.  He was wearing a white outfit and I can't recall whether it was two pieces (a top and bottom) or one.  He didn't move a muscle from his position but greeted me with a big, sly, grin--you know the kind--that 'knowing' grin like when you were a kid and you stole a piece of candy from the candy jar and looked around to see if anybody was watching; you were really pleased with yourself and just about ready to pop it into your mouth savoring its exquisite sweetness when, out of the corner of your eye you see you have company--it's your big brother and he caught you in the act.  'I'm telling Mom."  And you're now wishing you hadn't and the only thing that comes to mind is "Uh, Oh."  The other clear message he transmitted to me was, "I know who you are but you don't know who I am.  It's not time; you're not quite ready to stay here."  "Why, you're just along for the ride!"  Spirit granted this opportunity to visit but at this time you do not have clearance to stay." Poof!  I was back in bed.

This experience happened many years ago.  I have since learned that it is called an O.B.E.--An Out of Body Experience.  It was most special, beautiful and unforgettable and I wanted to share it with you.

Release the Spirit deep Within
Behold the eyes, the mouth, the chin
Is it me or is it she?
Maybe an illusive he
We are parts, all of us
We are more, we are less
Our role in life is to coalesce
The good
With those parts of us that are in a mess
To stop our further group transgress

It is What It Is

Life Is an opportunity, benefit from it
Life is beauty, admire it
Life is a dream, realize it
Life is a challenge, meet it
Life is a duty, complete it
Life is a game, play it
Life is a promise, fulfill it
Life is sorrow, overcome it
Life is a song, sing it
Life is a struggle, accept it
Life is a tragedy, confront it
Life is an adventure, dare it
Life is luck, make it
Life is too precious, do not destroy it
Life is life, fight for it.
- Mother Teresa

Waaah!

www.scenicreflections.com
How do you keep going and not give up when you see so much chaos going on all around you?--waah!  How do you muster the courage to punch through the fearful dark and forge ahead? --waah!  This is not easy to answer.  I have come to believe  that life is a boxing match and we're right smack dab in the middle of the ring whether we like it or not.  We dance around the ring dodging left hooks and trying not to trip up. We can put off the boxing match for a while (you know, hiding under our blanket or locking ourselves in the bathroom) but eventually that boxing ring (life) is going to come to us or we're going to be forced to meet it halfway.  There is a reason human beings cannot see the future.  It is because our future is still unfolding through the decisions we make and these decisions impact and direct our path in life.  Another thing to consider is that we may not like what we see and thus the incentive to do all we can, collectively, to improve on ourselves and make this planet a better place for all.  If we could see our end we'd be lazy, we wouldn't be challenged to overcome obstacles and confront our weaknesses, striving to make ourselves productive, caring and compassionate creatures.  Instead, we'd just go on our merry way lost in a meaningless existence.  If we were able to see our future then we would be able to manipulate and change it.  This is not in accordance with the Will of the Creator as we are His Work in Progress.  Even He does not know how we will turn out, or does He?   Hmmm  Did someone write the last chapter of our lives before we arrived here based on the assumption that they knew it would turn out a certain way?  Or, are they just monitoring in the background, keeping track of our progress, taking notes here and there?  And, what about the last chapter?  How will yours read?  Consider you are writing a novel.  Will it be a best seller or a dud?  Did anyone prepare you beforehand for this journey?  I surely don't remember anyone tutoring me.  Did anyone explain to you what you could expect to experience--what you would go through, how you would act, react, how many people you would hurt, how many indiscretions you would permit, how many times you would deceive yourself, how many opportunities you would waste?    Not only do people undergo transformation and transition but so do planetary bodies.  It would seem that planets and the life forms that cling tenaciously to them are inexorably, exquisitely and uniquely connected.  This planet was bequeathed to us and we all have a responsibility to care for it.  I believe that we are in for some startling and extraordinary earth events, coinciding with what we is taking place--a collective rewrite of humanity's social conscience.  The Watchers have deemed that this is the end of one era for humanity and the beginning of the next.  We are in a period of massive change on this planet.   Some very powerful, all knowing, all seeing, all wise beings will arrive on scene to help us out of our ignorance and misery--to help humanity's transition out of the Dark Ages and into the Light.  Are you prepared?  The veil is lifting; humanity's shroud is sloughing off; we are being peeled like an orange and all of us are beginning to see with new eyes.  A gigantic birthing process is taking place and there is much pain as the Wise Ones author and usher in a new way of life, a new way of living, a new awareness that will settle over all mankind as we begin to claim our rightful place in the universe-- as we acknowledge that we are all one--one in existence, one in connectedness, one in harmony with each other and this beautiful planet.  We have a responsibility to all life to treat it with respect, courtesy and compassion.  To understand the needs and wants that bind us all together, not separate us.  And all of us must stand up to those forces who stand in the way of our ascension, those governments, agencies, organizations and people who do not have this planet nor our best interests at heart.
