Trust

It’s dark and bleak

You feel hopeless and weak

The answer escapes you,

The one that you seek

You can’t see the forest

For all of the trees

It’s all so unclear,  

    Obscurity

Trust in the Lord

When you are too busy

To even unwind

When doubts keep on niggling

What’s left of your mind

Trust in the Lord

When you’re unfairly targeted

Because of your faith

When Demonic Destroyers

Try their best to deface

They Rampage and Savage

Slay and debase

All the time trying

Their best to erase

All things holy, 

Thus leaving no trace

Trust in the Lord

Quiet your being

And fall on your knees

There is only one God

And He is not pleased

When the world all around you

Is falling apart

Remember, that this

This, too, shall depart

For He has a plan for a better place

One that is sound and healthy and safe

A Work of Art, a Masterpiece

One that to us He has wholly bequeathed

Trust in the Lord

With all of your heart

For the old ways are departing

To make way for fresh start
