What Good is a Calendar Anymore?

Spring hath Sprung.

But the calendar says the vernal equinox (Spring) doesn't officially start until March 20, 2023.

What's going on?

Parts of the country are experiencing extreme cold weather while other parts are recording above normal temperatures.

Chinese astrologers talk of a "double" spring happening in 2023 that happens every twelve years but I've yet to find out any information on this.

If anyone does know the meaning of this, please feel free to share.

The geese pairs started flying in about 2 weeks ago, normally they show up in March so they're ahead of time, also.

So that's another 2 weeks to add to the start date of Spring here as being February 7, 2023.

Daffodils are blooming and some trees have started blossoming out.

Even when you go outside, it feels like Spring.

Unbelievable because, according to the calendar we're still in Winter.

Feel free to reply to this post and share your thoughts.

p.s. 2/15/2023 forgot to mention saw one bluebird in January and two in February.  Haven't seen any bluebirds around here for years.
