"Give me a Moment, I'm Just Getting My Legs Under Me" |
Well another week gone and a new one starting today. Boy how time flies.
When you go back and review what you did, who you met, how work went, what happened, it makes for an interesting read.
Each day in your life is a page in a book entitled, "Your Life"and as we go through Life we create chapter after chapter.
Each day is a new learning experience maybe learning about yourself a little more or about someone else. Maybe you just found a new emotion, one you'd not experienced before and it's a little disconcerting. If so, talk to someone until you get your feet under you. There are always others out there to help you through things.
You and I are a part of Life and Life is an integral part of us.
Are you afraid of Life? I ask this question because I was. Afraid of interacting with others, not really knowing how to deal with things, what to expect, inexperienced, shy and feeling like a nobody.
I'm here to tell you, it's okay, it's okay. This is normal and you are not alone. Eventually, no matter how hard you try not to become involved, Life will find you.
One of the most difficult things we learn as we go through Life is getting acquainted with ourselves, learning who and what we are. In order to operate at maximum capacity all the factory gears must be oiled and in good working condition. Such it is with you. The more you learn through the experiences Life has in store for you, you will learn much as you continue to move forward.
Remember, no matter how hard we all try, we cannot go back. Life is constantly challenging us and pushing us forward.
That's just the way it is.
You will soon find out that you consist of layers. The first layer is who you think you are, another layer is who others think you are and another layer is who you really are. A lifetime of learning will not teach you all you need to know about yourself but it's a good start.
You're not here because your life has no meaning. On the contrary, you are here because you chose to come here and picked out a role to play. Whether you decided to make amends, teach a skill, break some bad habits or just help others and/or make positive changes in the world you are here.
As soon as Life helps you shed your downy feathers and you grow real ones, you won't be able to fly. Life will teach you how to achieve this as it is with us 365 days a year, 24/7.
As you go along you will learn that there is no rigid definition to life. Life is reactive and proactive with its own set of rules and it seeks us out. The sooner you learn to allow Life into your life the faster you will grow and benefit from its Teachings.
So, stand up, stretch and put your best wing forward. You've cleared the first hurdle now you're ready for the second.
You never know how well things are going to work out if you don't learn how to fly.
