Dominion

A Pit Viper

Me:  "You are here and it's a blessing".

"No", you argue, "it's a curse."

Actually this is true.  Our journey here is a mixture of both.

On the one hand everything can be happy and beautiful.

On the other hand, everything can be dark and gloomy.

Man is an interesting piece of work:

He has walked the earth for thousands of years so he's had ample time to acquire the wisdom needed to overcome his shortcomings.

However, as we will see, this is not true.

He is still confused and reluctant, even to the point of being uninterested as to why he's here or even where he originated from.

He refuses to acknowledge responsibility and complicity in his own evil to a greater or lesser extent and when it comes to his ultimate undoing, more likely to blame someone else.

He lacks humility in confessing his weaknesses, sins and vices nor acknowledges the needed discipline and required expertise in order to overcome them.

He struts around like a debauched peacock, proudly flaunting his ego as if it were a badge of honor but is ignorant of the fact that his own ego is actually a viper in waiting.

He walks the earth only interested in what he can plunder and pilfer.

His treachery knows no bounds.

Even though he declares he does care for the poor, he lies.  He really does not care for them, the impoverished or the weak but only what they will profit him.

He despises anyone or anything that begs an in depth analysis of his own soul as his shamelessness continues to block his salvation.

He is quick to condemn and quick to dispatch all those who speak the Truth.

He cannot bring himself to forgive others because he and only he is worthy of forgiveness, thus his  complete and complicit lack of concern.

He has no compassion for those who aren't even here yet, denying them a voice and their earthly inheritance, defiantly continuing a rampage of oblivion against these little ones by acts of cruelty, savagery and  barbarism in a constant blood lust for domination.

One has to wonder then, why The Son of Man would have chosen to waste His time here.

John 3:16:

"Because G-d so loved us He created a Savior for us, Jesus Christ, who assumed human form in order to live among us, experience and understand our pitiful journey here in order to personally help us by  experiencing it for Himself."

"And in so doing, He provided a blueprint for us, setting all of us on the right path, teaching us how to live life and avoid the snares and pitfalls, enabling us to learn the lessons necessary."

"And that whosoever heard His words and believed in Him and His message of Salvation, would have everlasting life".

In view of what we're seeing transpiring in the world today, one has to wonder, "G-d, was it really all worth it?"
