The Shroud

A Magnificent Celestial Event
The Total Solar Eclipse
approximately 1:44 PM CST
where it reached Totality 
April 8, 2024


Sitting outside with family, we excitedly waited for this event.  The skies were cloudy but every once in a while they would clear, just a little, revealing the beautiful phenomena taking place over our heads.  

We were very fortunate to have had enough time in between the parting of the clouds to snap a couple of photos (one of which is shown above).

The interesting part of all of this was the darkening of the skies just before the moon completely blocked out the sun. 

In just a few minutes we could see and feel something extraordinary happening as we were completely enveloped by the dark. 

This was no tumultous storm but something else entirely. 

We found ourselves slowly and gently surrendering to an annointing, a message not of Fear but one of Hope, Comfort and Peace but most of all, LOVE.

That we are not alone in this world but surrounded by His Grace.      

That He stands by us, no matter what, whether it be we are standing in the Light or find ourselves experiencing the Dark.
