On Friday, January 31, 2025, at approximately 7:00 p.m., this is what I saw (see above).
The moon's crescent is the result of illumination from the sun but seeing it, at the bottom of the moon was quite a surprise as I've never seen this before.
This brilliant white crescent was so bright, it reminded me of a band of diamonds in the sky!
I was able to clearly see this as it was a clear night.

I then started to research this rare phenomenon and one thing I noted is there is hardly any info regarding this phase of the moon.
I've attached a link below that I believe may shed some light on what this all means.

I was on top of a hill overlooking a harbor and believe it was Boston Harbor. I saw ships, both American and British and heard loud booms, shouting, screaming and yelling, muffled cries, coughing and my eyes were stinging. The air was so acrid from what must have been fires and gunpowder that it was hard to see or breathe. The color of the sky was brackish gray and a sullen pale yellow.
