"Empowerment"  

I do these weekly Tarot and Oracle Readings in order to hopefully, shed some light and understanding on what we all are going through, trying to make sense out of it.  It helps if we can get a different perspective on a difficult situation in order to see it through to the end.  Also, being able to see something good coming from something bad. 

We can't make it through by ourselves but need the assistance of others and the spiritual guidance required in order to win.        

Each card has a positive and negative meaning associated with it.  Even though I do not use reverse cards (negative meaning) the cards can be interpreted either way, depending on the energies surrounding the reading.

1.  Situation:  The Wheel of Fortune is all about cycles that guide and affect our lives:  the 4 seasons, planting and harvesting, birth, life, death, economic, sociological and astrological.  These cycles recur in repeating patterns.  The Wheel of Fortune also represents Karma.  What you sow in life whether good or bad will eventually return to you.  

2.  Past:  The Magician represents untapped power within each of us.  Not too long ago we all relied on the nightly news, elected officials and corporations to make decisions for us but this is changing as we are realizing they cannot be trusted with our lives and that we are the key to our own survival.  

3.  Present:  The Hierophant Card (The Pope) represents conformity and sacred tradition.  We're now finding out though that religion is much more than we've been led to believe.  It doesn't care about its "flock" but only how much money can be extorted from them.  They have turned into destructive machines only seeking more wealth, more power and more control over the masses.  

4.  Destination:  The Death card indicates we are headed down a different path as the old one is in the process of being destroyed.  Everything we once trusted, believed in and depended upon such as food, fuel to heat our homes and run our cars, jobs, even the weather is taking a drastic turn.

5.  Hidden:  The Moon represents our subconscious and primal fears.  Fear is the driving force of the Devil maintaining us in a constant state of anxiety.    
 
6.  Advice:  Even though we all are witnessing our world, as we once knew it, seemingly falling apart, there are other forces working in the background to correct things and reassemble them in their rightful order.  This card reminds us that there is a Higher and more Benevolent Power in charge and not to fall into despair but believe that, in the end, everything will work out for the betterment of all.    

7.  Outcome:  The Temperance Card means holding back - doing things in moderation - you can't wait to take a swing at your opponent but now is not the time.  You decide there's a better way to tackle your grievances that will end up benefitting everyone involved.              

8.  The Devil Card sums up the reading and instructs all of us, "Know Your Enemy."  Understand that there have always been both positive and negative forces on this planet in the form of people, angels and demons.  Right now, the demonic realm is doing everything in its power to bring us down, but the more people who wake up and start taking an active role in seeing this doesn't happen, the better our chances for success.

Situation:  Judgement represents Atonement, a purification process in which the old is smelted down and becomes pliable enough to bend and be molded into a new form. 

As in a forest where a raging fire consumes thousands of acres so too this card represents a spiritual fire in which humanity is forced to come to terms with its shadow self, thus allowing for its renewal and rebirth.

 Past:  The Emperor represents what once was:  Stability, law and order, an anchor in times of trouble.    
Present:  The Hierophant represents seeking help from a spiritual advisor or a trusted mentor to turn to in troubled times.  Can also indicate the need for prayer, forming a connection with community and family bonding - repentance.      

Future:  Justice is about restoring balance by defending the meek and bringing the mighty to their knees.   

Hidden:  Temperance is all about self-control; not losing one's head through panic but through patience, careful analysis and moderation arriving at just solution.        

Advice:  The Chariot in this position came across, and very strongly, "Get Your Affairs in Order."

Outcome:  This where we're headed.  The World in this position means, "Humanity's Journey is Complete."  

Summation:  The Strength Card is all about not being swept away by destructive forces but facing your fears.  You have, within you, what it takes to prevail.

   "Letting Go"  

Situation:  The Death card signifies endings and could be something that didn't work out, - a relationship, a job, a career.  You've done what was expected of you, dedication and hard work; you've exhausted all your options and it's time to move on.  This card also represents human mortality.      
 
Past:  Earth is a living vessel.  It has many lessons to teach us, but not before we humble ourselves in order for the message to be heard in order to bear fruit.  You can't teach someone anything of value when they think they have all the answers.  This card tells us to look to the past and the ancient teachings in order to forecast our future - for both go hand in hand. 

Present:  The Temperance Card is about learning to handle disagreements.  Instead of a knee jerk reaction, maybe the problem can be settled in another more passive, harmonious way.  The man pouring water from one vessel into another is blending two properties (opposites one calm and the other anger) and arriving at a decision.      

 Destination:  The Fool Card depicts someone who can't be trusted.  He says one thing and does another.  He doesn't listen to advice, has no knowledge of which way to go because he constantly throws caution to the wind.  

Hidden:  The Hanged Man shows a person in the act of breaking free (both mentally and physically) in order to arrive at a point (neither up nor down but somewhere in between - a liminal space) in order to gain a different perspective.    

Advice:  The Magician reminds us we have everything we need (body, mind and soul) to succeed in life.  In order to do this we must learn how to incorporate and align all three parts so they work together not independently of each another - alignment.          

Outcome:  The Strength card reminds us we have the power to overcome whatever is thrown our way.  That we can defeat the savage beast not by brute force but by other means.  Taking a firm stand, standing up to our problems and positioning ourselves for victory.  See the Temperance Card.  

Summation:  The Wheel represents cycles, birth, life and death, the 4 seasons, highs and lows, ups and downs, joy and pain.  Another reminder of the challenges we face on our life path.  However, instead of respecting our past we continue to choose technology over compassion and power over peace.  Sadly, this card cautions, "if we continue down this road, we will fall further down the rabbit hole".  Choose wisely.

Situation represents the evil taking place on earth and the continued mockery of God's laws.          
  
Past represents our ancestral roots, those guides and healers who were exalted as spiritual advisors, shamans, guides and healers.  Over a period of time we grew increasingly arrogant in that we were the ones with all the answers and purposely ignored their ancient wisdom.    

Present reminds us that we all are on a divine journey of self-discovery and knowledge.  In order to move forward it is imperative we search ourselves in order to know who we are and where we are headed ensuring we arrive safely at our destination.         

Future calls for atonement, a reconciliation with God in which the present cycle ends and we are called to account for our deeds.      

Hidden is the Fool and Humanity representing our present state:  an arrogant, uncaring feckless individual who refuses to listen to or heed advice, thus continuing the disastrous state we're in.                 
Advice came across as taking responsibility for our actions and making a difference in the world.    Because we have chosen to do otherwise, collectively "we all dropped the ball."  Beneficial change does not come about without meaningful human intervention. 

Outcome represents endings both physical and spiritual.   Endings are necessary in order for something new to manifest.  (See XX Judgement).        

Summation Card represents Creation and the sanctity of Life.  Not someone's own personal version of whether it's a "woman's right to choose" but the cycles of life, birth and death, according to the Divine.

Past:  The Empress is Creation and our deep connection with Mother Earth.  Transition, cycles, life, birth and death.  She has lessons to teach us but have we bothered to learn what they are?  Are we even listening? 

Present:  VI The Lovers represents honor and trust, the sacred partnership, duality (Male and Female) and the cooperation needed to make something work.  We can't continue to poison the roles the masculine and feminine play in the world.  We need to come together, work together.  No more can we afford to go it alone.          

Destination/Future:  Justice is coming; Cause and Affect; Choices, Karma; our decisions have consequences.        

Hidden:  The Hermit represents the solitary path required in order to attain wisdom.  How many of us are willing to sacrifice our materialism in order to find the truth of our existence?   

Advice:  The Hierophant is much like the Hermit, a spiritual guide, Medicine Man, who has overcome his weaknesses both physical and spiritual, making him stronger thus able to pass his wisdom along to all who seek his counsel.  If you haven't already sought help in these troubled times, this card acknowledges that now is the time to do so.  

Outcome:  The Hanged Man symbolizes life turned upside down; gaining a different perspective on life; learning the truth of your situation and trying a new approach to solve problems.   We all are undergoing this process right now.    

Summation:  The Emperor represents what the world desperately needs now, control, structure, power, authority and leadership.  When something falls apart, you need to be able to piece it back together again.  The individual with these qualities has yet to be identified but will emerge on the scene, soon.

   "Shining Our Light"  

The Situation sums up the entire meaning of the spread.  A new cycle for Humanity is being birthed as we wake up to the truth of our existence on this planet.  No more are we content with being lied to and led by those who do not have our best interests at heart but are finding we have the power and are standing up to them, exposing who they are and their evil deeds.  Spiritually, we are ascending from the night (conceal) and into the day (reveal). 

The Past is represented by the Crow meaning Challenges, Change and Growth which has brought us to where we are now.  

The Present is The Key meaning ability and empowerment.  We are gaining momentum and feeling empowered as we move further away from the dark (night) and into the light.

Destination is Nightshade, not a very promising card but nonetheless one worth heeding.  It is a warning to all of us that we are becoming more aware of the people and organizations responsible for destroying what we hold sacred whether it be a small baby, a family or what we believe in and avoid them.

The Moon in the Advice Position tells us that we are in the process of self illumination, not afraid of the dark shadows lurking around us anymore us but becoming fully committed to bringing in the light.

"Mankind is Undergoing Monumental Change"


*The Tower Card depicts our situation and represents devastation, loss, shockwaves, something we didn't see coming - divorce, illness, bankruptcy, etc.

*The Past means Endurance (courage, resolve, determination) those strengths we relied on in the past to overcome and survive crises.      

*The Present speaks to our search for answers as to what is happening in our world.  Through the chaos we are becoming more spiritually attuned to who we are and where we're going, realizing that in order for positive change, we need to take an active role in our own destinies.  It means not losing our heads (because everyone around us is losing theirs) but methodically searching for answers, through meditation and prayer.  

*The Destination card represents male and female duality (opposites) uniting and bonding, coming together through mutual respect and trust.   

*The Hidden card represents Peace, a process in which groups and organizations have united in one goal and are actively pursuing their objective.  

*The Advice card represents Suffering, everything that's wrong with the world.  The Devil (Satan) is allowed to do his dirty work because we let him.  He's not going to stop until all of us step up, get involved and put a stop to his madness.  More and more people, parents, doctors and whistleblowers are taking a stand, making it their mission to call out those people and organizations who continue contributing to mankind's misery.    

*The Outcome card is the Fool and means a "New Beginning."  Life is cyclical and many things outlive their usefulness over time allowing for a new cycle to begin.  This is happening now.  Mankind and earth are in the process of monumental change.  The Fool represents the first leg of our "new" journey on earth.  

*The Summation card is the World standing for Completion.  Cycles come and go, the old and outworn leaving and new ones manifesting.

Situation:  Represents feminine energy (softer and gentler) as opposed to masculine energy (aggressive and bold) indicating the need for a "time out" in which to regroup.  We're worn out and fatigued.   Now is the time to recharge our batteries and rejuvenate.  

Past:  This card shows a tower being struck as the result of an unexpected event that shakes us to our very core.  Just look at what is happening in the world.  
 

Present:  Indicates we have the necessary resolve and power to transform our lives our situation and our world.  Instead of standing idly by waiting for matters to resolve themselves or others to take the lead, we need to acknowledge the crisis we're in, put ourselves back together (some assembly required) and forge into battle.

Destination:  Don't give up hope regarding what is happening in the world.  Remember that every cloud has a silver lining and, after a storm, the sun will come out.        

Hidden:  This is our spiritual connection with learned guides, teachers and sages.   It represents Wisdom, faith in the unknown, spiritual knowledge and mystery and shows up when we need encouragement to keep moving forward.  It also means absolution (forgiveness).           

Advice:  This card is all about perseverance.  Keep going, keep fighting, you have what it takes to complete the mission because if you don't, who will?     

Outcome:  Represents change and transformation (what is happening now) from the old to the new.

* Situation:   Contrition:  We all can see what is happening in the world but don't know where or who to turn to for answers.  In an act of desperation we are prayerfully falling on our knees begging for help.  

* Past:   Transformation:  The Death Card represents physical death but also the death of something that doesn't serve us anymore such as a political or religious belief or our trust in an agency or institution, etc.).  

It is a card of Transformation and means in order to start over and receive the beneficial changes manifesting, we need to get rid of the past.   

* Present:  Resistance:  The Devil continues his maniacal quest of subjugation and control over the world.  However, instead of continued cooperation from us (turning the other way, ignorance, too busy to get involved because it doesn't affect us, personally) there's a big change occurring.  We're starting to stand up and fight for what is right instead of participating in our downfall.   

* Destination: (Let It Be So!):  The Emperor represents power, stability and authority.  It is interesting when this card shows up because it could mean one of two things:  An actual person with these qualities coming into being or the direction the world is going in which things will slowly stabilize allowing for our lives to return to normal.  

* Hidden:  (Mastery):  The Magician is an alchemical master, having learned how to master the four elements that make up a human being they are:  Earth (the body); Cups (the heart); Swords (the Mind) and Wands (the Soul).  He has learned that in order to succeed these four elements must learn how to work together.  

The Message:  "You" are the Magician with everything you need to thrive and survive.  Don't continue relying on others to make your decisions for you.  Learn to be the Masters of Your Own Destinies."  

* Advice: (Trust but Verify) V The Hierophant:  I really don't like this card as I believe this figure  representing religious dogma and authority has done more harm to the world than help.  And yet here it is in the Advice Position.  I interpret this card as a warning:  "don't always believe what you're told, what you read, what you see or what you hear" no matter how "learned" the person is or the reputation of the government or agency offering advice:  

* Outcome (Enlightenment):  IX The Hierophant represents an individual who has gone within (internally) trying to figure what it is that makes us human.  He wants to know the inner workings, the intricate mechanisms of human nature and how they work.  

He is on a lonely path of self sacrifice in order to gain the understanding he seeks.  His lantern is a six pointed star, the Seal of Solomon, standing for Wisdom.  He represents the awakening taking place on this planet as people are beginning to question and scrutinize people and events under a microscope.  

* Summation (Hanging Tough) XII The Hanged Man.  This card signifies many different meanings:  Your world turned upside down; letting go; hanging tough; I don't give a shit; what will be will be.  Take your pick.  

I like to think this card means that everything (in spite of what we're seeing happening) is happening for a reason and going to work out in the end, benefitting all of us.    

It counsels us not to stress too much about what's happening rather:  Address, assess, confess, rest and decompress.
