Into the forest
Deep, dark and green
This enchanting realm of in between
With pixies and elves
And all sorts of selves
They sit beside you
And tousle your hair
They cradle your face
Into your eyes they stare
Wondering
A soft mossy path meanders
You know of where it wanders
To merry meadows and garden paths
You know now you're home at last
What's passed is past
In this realm of in between
You lay your head
Against earth's breast
You're deserving of
A well earned rest
The trees look down upon you
They are glad you made it home
They bend their furry branches
Lovingly
And you with hairbrush comb
Quiet elms stately, tall
Shadowy figures at a masquerade ball
Sentinels lining an old stone wall
I love it here
In this quiet realm
You can catch your breath
You can get some rest
Deep, dark and green
This enchanting realm of in between
With pixies and elves
And all sorts of selves
They sit beside you
And tousle your hair
They cradle your face
Into your eyes they stare
Wondering

You know now you're home at last
