The Man in White

Labels don't mean anything to me anymore.

I don't care whether you call yourself Progressive or Conservative, Democrat or Republican, Lesbian or Gay, Transgender or Bi-Sexual, Anti-Gun, Pro-Gun.

Who the hell cares?

What matters is that we are all human beings living on one small planet.

And we can't figure out how to do it.

Who gives us the right to pass judgement on who or what another human being is?

Who gives us the right to pass judgement on anything?

If anything, Judgement (Reckoning) should be passed on us.

And, I believe it is coming.

It's really, long overdue, don't you think?

I am sorry but We are one Big Disappointment.

We don't listen; we don't learn; we spit in each others face, we sputter and protest or give one the finger; we shout and rage and burn entire communities down; we slaughter and abuse those who can't defend themselves.

It's like a sordid broken record.

We can't seem to get out of the same old groove.

We treat the Life we've been given as one big Joke.

We stick needles in our arms and drink till we're so drunk we can't stand up.

We are continuously preyed upon by those who don't give a shit about anything.

"Just show me the money, honey".

There is little respect, short of no respect for anything, anymore.

We remove small, innocent babes in the womb and and call it abortion.

I call it M-U-R-D-E-R.

And then we use their body parts as salvage and make tons of money off of them all the while picking through our artisan salad and drinking our fine, vintage wine.

People go to jail for Murder.

Humanity continues to turn a deaf ear to their collective consciousness, their soul, and disregard the laws that were put in place to protect us.

Then, they eliminate those who try and endeavour to point this out.

They're a threat.

We are backsliding, down, down, down.

We continue to despoil the land, poach animals into extinction, pollute our waters either by emptying entire landfills into them or nuclear waste, dirty our air, manipulate genes to produce more crops but don't bother to examine the possible, adverse side-affects these new GMOs may have on the population.

It's power and more power.  Money and more money.  It's finger pointing and meltdowns.  It's blaming the other guy when we, ourselves are to blame.

It's corruption and scandals, sexual abuse, lies, deception,  divisiveness, ego trips, narcissism.

These dirty little things are embedded in all of us.

Its just that when one of them takes hold and trumps what's good, it is in control, not you.

Watching the Pope make his rounds in Washington, D.C., this morning, I was struck by the fresh air that surrounded him as he shook hands and hugged those who had come out to greet him.

I was struck by the joy and the laughter and the exuberance, excitement of all involved.

It struck me that this was the first time I had witnessed happiness and contentment on the grounds of the capital.

Now the Pope isn't immune to scandals in his church nor is he clean of any deception and hiding secrets.

On the contrary, I happen to believe that the Pope represents an organization (The Catholic Church) that is replete with information hidden from view, locked in the most secretive of vaults, regarding aliens, UFOs, humanity in general and other civilizations, just to name a few.

But just for a moment, as I watched this man in white move from one person to another in embraces and handshakes, leaning down to pat a little one on the head, the glowing faces of all surrounding him, I was hopeful,

I actually felt some hope that this man, this figure who is as human as the rest of us, actually was able to instill within me a sense that we are all in this mess (Life) together and connected as we try to sort out the deception from the Truth, lifting one another up and empowering mankind to do the right thing.

Hope, what a beautiful concept; what a beautiful word.

Thank you Pope Francis for stopping by because just for a moment, you gave me a glimmer of Hope and I thought that, maybe, we would........(fill in the blanks)
