Punch Through

When we become distracted and momentarily sidetracked in our goals, it's rather hard to get back on track.

If we don't get a handle on what's happening, it's going to be very difficult to keep going.

Think of life as a pathway toward a higher unfolding, an understanding of who you are but always in front of you is an unseen brick wall.

It shows up from time to time to thwart your progress but on the other hand may provide an opportunity to address something you've been putting off.

It is times like these we need to muster all the help and courage we can.

It isn't easy but then anything worthwhile requires effort and leaving the safety of your comfort zone.

When I become too focused on my fears I think about those men and women who have punched through theirs and made a success of their lives.

Our military comes to mind--a group of noble men and women who chose to push themselves to their limits, overcoming their obstacles, acquiring new skills and bravely facing down their fears.

They are a group worth looking up to.

Then I am reminded of those who could care less about anything in life--where they are and where they are going, smug in the fact they won't be challenged by anything.

Sadly, too many are choosing the easy way out--doing nothing yet expecting everything in return.

And yet, they still expect others to ensure their safety so they can continue to enjoy the comforts and necessities provided to them by the few, those few who are willing to sacrifice their all for the good of all.

It isn't about black and it isn't about white.  It's all about doing what is right.

This country wasn't fought for or won by careless, thoughtless, lazy men and women but by those who chose to believe in something higher than themselves, finding purpose and rising above their fears and choosing to face head on the challenges imposed by the brick wall now looming before them.

If it wasn't for them I wouldn't be here posting and you wouldn't be here, reading.
